Overcoming challenges
Lately I have seen a lot of patients and clients of mine try and take the easy way out when it comes to their health. They all want one diet, one supplement, one medication, one exercise, to fix their health issues. If you are lucky, you might be apart of the lucky group of people that may only need to change one or two little things to fix your problem. If your like me, and like most of the patients I come across daily, its not that simple. The body is a complex machine. Modern day science can give you the full break down on how the body works and what triggers the body to start acting out of balance. But science still cant really give us causes, or reasons as to why the body starts to act out of control. This is where a lot of people start turning to medication, supplements, and all sorts of different physical ways to solve their physical and sometimes emotional problems. When I tell people I think you need to look within at your traumas and really start to self investigate, they immediately get defensive. No one wants to think that they are spiritually or emotionally out of balance. Now as I explained in previous blogs, its not always as simple as an energetic imbalance either. If it were, why would a baby get cancer? They come into the world completely in balance right? Now this is just a feeling I have but maybe cancer, diseases, or mental health issues arn’’t the worse things in the world. I think society has taught us for a long time to be fearful or feel guilt when these types of challenges come our way. The feeling I get is maybe these disorders teach us something beautiful not scary. In the case with the baby with cancer, Maybe this teaches the people around them beautiful life lessons that will really mature them spiritually and emotionally. Maybe these disorders are the tough teachers in our lives that we have avoided for so long. Strong souls will sometimes choose these wild and crazy paths to help teach them and the people around them really tough lessons. So how do we over come these mental, emotional, and physical challenges? the truth is I’m not sure, but I can tell you how I took on my own challenges.
WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS, MAKE LEMONADE… life is full of very difficult challenges but there are different ways to approach them. You can blame other people, the world, or whatever to protect your ego or you can look at these challenges with an open mind. The truth is, sometimes God/the universe will send you people or situations to steer you in a direction that makes the most sense for you. You might think a certain job is the best fit for you, but something might continuously block you from getting it. This might be a sign to look elsewhere. You might have a co worker at your job driving you nuts everyday. This might be a sign from the universe to look for a different job that is better for you. You might have always been the type of person who needed to constantly be busy or achieving something to feel fulfilled, but now you developed some sort of a disease that is forcing you to slow down and realize that we as humans are already fulfilled and don’t need to prove that to anyone else. What ever the case may be, its important to trust the process… it might take years for you to actually see how the challenges you faced contributed to you in a positive way but try not to lose hope while waiting. Try to see the beauty in every moment and make the best out of a crappy situation. There was a point in my IBD journey where I was so upset that I couldn’t find that one supplement, or that one diet that would cure me. I shut down and started to think very pessimistically about life. I didn’t know what to believe in anymore. I had a job that I liked, I had a great husband, I had good friends, and I eat pretty healthy, so why me? Being a typical human, I wanted answers immediately. Unfortunately, I still don’t have all the answers but I can tell you confidently that I am in a much better place than I was 2 years ago and am in complete remission. Here are some tips that help me overcome challenges in my own life.
-Take the road of least resistance. if you have given something your all and its still not working, its time to move on. whether that’s a certain drug, person, job, or whatever. Don’t hang around in hopes that that situation will get better. Move forward
-look out for signs. Don’t let your logical mind get in the way of seeing signs because they are everywhere. EX: if you are wondering if you should leave a relationship and you start to see houses for rent everywhere with reasonable prices in the neighborhoods that you want to live in, take that as a sign. Sometimes the relationship will even get so bad to where you’ll have to leave. Take the abuse as a sign to get out of the relationship. Sometimes when were very comfortable in a situation that’s not good for us, things will just keep getting worse until we leave it behind.
-Be prepared to wait for answers. The universe might want you to take some wrong turns just to get you to understand the lessons it is trying to teach you. Sometimes the wrong turn can help you understand who you are more fully and what you want. life is a path of self discovery so don’t be so hard on yourself if the answers don’t come right away.
-Pray, manifest, or mediate on what ever it is you want to overcome. Asking for help to someone or something outside of this world is not crazy. There are forces around us that want to help us but need to be acknowledged first since we do have free will.
-self reflection. Try not to blame everything around you for your unhappiness. This will just prolong your challenges and obsticles. Your putting the blinders on when you do this and will never see the bigger picture. This is the most dangerous cycle you can get in because your failing to recognize that YOU are the one in control of your own reality. If your world is very dark then there is something within you that is very dark that needs to be addressed. If not addressed, you will fall into a life of victimhood.
-let people that you love and trust help you and support you through difficult times
These are not facts nor do you have to follow them but they are what helped me through my life. As an energetic healer, I want help people get to a more balanced state through my words or through hands on healings. hopefully this helps!
